A broad plateau at roughly 10–25 m fans out to drop-offs on the south side, with an amphitheatre-shaped gully known as the Shark Pool and a field of garden eels. Old metal drums on the reef shelter morays and octopus. The battered remains of the cargo ship Loullia, grounded in 1981, sit on the reef top and are a landmark from the surface.
