Neil — Shaheed Dweep — sits across the channel from Havelock. The diving is smaller-scale: shorter boat runs, more fringing reef, and sites that many Havelock guests never see because they never take the ferry.

Junction
Channel between Swaraj Dweep and Shaheed Dweep (Neil)
A finger of reef in the channel between Havelock and Neil. DIVEIndia describes a start around 22 m dropping to about 30 m, lionfish on soft coral at the tip, and pelagics in the blue. ScubaLov runs it as an advanced 28–34 m ledge dive with strong eastward current. Structured depth uses the 22–30 m band published by DIVEIndia and Dive Andaman.

North of Shaheed Dweep (Neil), toward the Havelock channel
A sandy boulder maze north of Neil, one of the three well-known reefs between Havelock and Neil. DIVEIndia and Dive Andaman publish 7–16 m and dugong as occasional; ScubaLov publishes 15–21 m and the same rock-mound / seagrass character. Structured depth uses the 7–16 m band.

Western Neil: reef patches on sand, garden eels, and lionfish. DIVEIndia publishes 13–22 m on a gentle slope; Dive Andaman 45–65 ft (about 14–20 m). ScubaLov runs it as an intermediate 14–30 m site with a deeper west plateau. Structured depth uses the 13–22 m DIVEIndia band.

About 500 m off Neil jetty, Shaheed Dweep
A small circular reef around a lighthouse about 500 m from Neil jetty. ScubaLov publishes 5–10 m and uses it for novices: unicornfish, fusiliers, jacks, clams, and occasional turtle. Separate from Havelock's lighthouse slope.

Fringing patch reefs, Shaheed Dweep (Neil)
Neil's patch-reef Aquarium: ScubaLov publishes 8–12 m, fragmented rocky coral heads, rays on sand, and possible dugong. Not the Havelock Aquarium.
How Neil differs from Havelock
Havelock owns the deep offshore trinity and the Inchkeith wreck. Neil's strength is compact reefs and channel sites with shorter transits. Current still matters — Junction is named for a reason — but you are rarely on a 70-minute steam.
If you split a week, do Havelock for the wall and pinnacles, then a Neil day for the western fringe and lighthouse slope. Centres listed on Diver Atlas book on their own sites.

An isolated rock on sand north-east of Neil. DIVEIndia and Dive Andaman publish 12–19 m, little current, and a mix of snapper, sweetlips and butterflyfish unlike Havelock. The Neil Nursery: western fringing reef from about 6 m to 12 m, with schooling fish, lobster, stingrays, octopus and cuttlefish. Named on DIVEIndia's Neil list and described on their dive-sites archive; ScubaLov also lists a Nursery on Neil.
